Deborah Browning
My name is Deborah Browning and it is with great honor that I introduce myself to you as your child’s Kindergarten Teacher. I am originally from the beautiful Low Country, Charleston, South Carolina, and my family and I moved to Georgia due to a military transfer when I was 10 years old. I grew up in Georgia, went to college in Georgia, and I met and married the love of my life here in Georgia…so YES…Georgia is in my blood! J My husband and I have celebrated 8 fabulous years of marriage and we have two little princesses; a beautiful 6 year old, Hannah Grace, and our adorable 19 month old Annabelle Joi. I love to sing, play games, travel, and enjoy spending quality time with my family.
I attended The University of West Georgia where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Sociology. I also earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Phoenix. I have worked with children a total of 22 years; 11 of those years were spent teaching: Kindergarten (8 years), 1st Grade (1 year), 2nd Grade (1 year), and 1 year teaching Pre-K.
I firmly believe being a teacher is not only my passion, but my mission. When I was 4 years old, I was diagnosed with cancer. I went through 15 months of chemotherapy and radiation and by age 6 I was healed...I AM A CANCER CONQUEROR!! I believe I was not only given a second chance at life, but a second chance with a purpose to teach!
I have always had a love for children and education, and when I put the two of them together, I knew it was my calling to be a teacher. It gives me great joy to have the opportunity to plant seeds into the lives of my students, and I am dedicated to providing your child with a safe and fun place to obtain a love and appreciation for learning.
