No School Tuesday- Teacher Workday
Food Drive Collections are due Thursday, November 9th
Thanksgiving Feast (K)- Tuesday, November 14th
Sight Words: We are learning the words good, any, read, or, did, too, have, Tuesday this week. (Please see the resource tab for a list of the sight words we will learn each week).
Phonics: We are continuing to learn about word families and talking about words in the -it family.
Reading: We are looking at the book "Scaredy Squirrel" by Melanie Watt. The students are practicing asking and answering questions before, during and after reading the book. We are also reviewing character and setting. The students will be learning about Veteran's day as we read a book on this holiday and discuss its importance.
Writing: We are beginning to learn about How-To writing and what that means. The students are practicing telling someone the steps on how to do something through pictures and writing.
Science: We are learning about Thanksgiving and the significance of this holiday. We are working to get ready for our special feast on the 14th and hope you can join us!
Math: The students are beginning to learn how to compare objects/ numbers up to 10 and using the vocabulary to describe if a group is greater, less, or equal.
