I am beginning my nineteenth year as an educator in Cobb County. I started my career in special education and later moved into the general curriculum. In my classroom, I believe in leading by example. My students see me take risks both in and out of the classroom on a regular basis. This not only fortifies them and encourage them to see themselves as risk takers, but it lets them know they will never be alone in their endeavors! Over the course of our year, my students will come to realize that I have very high expectations for them, but they will also learn that I will be there to support their efforts. I work hard every day to maintain a sense of fun and adventure at the heart of my classroom. I want my classroom to be THE place to BE! When all is said and done, my end goal for my students is for them to experience success while developing a deeply engrained, life-long love of learning!
